Jaguar Land Rover

Ian joined the Materials Engineering team at Jaguar Land Rover in 2012 and is part of the team responsible for the development and application of metals in their various forms, across both brands.  During his time in JLR Ian has worked on a range of projects including sheet aluminium and steel developments to meet the needs of exacting requirements in JLR vehicle structures.  Ian is currently responsible for leading developments of sheet metals in to the Body Engineering commodity. 

Ian studied Materials Engineering at Nottingham University, and after gaining his Engineering Doctorate from Swansea University, worked in the steel industry in a number of technical roles in manufacturing, product and process development, prior to joining Jaguar Land Rover.
